Kids just go crazy over car games these days whether they are PC-installed games or free games online. You can notice their adrenaline rise as soon as the starting line appears on the screen. The rush, combined with the sound of revving engines, squealing rubber, and exciting graphics, all make up for a wonderful racing experience, even if it is just in the comfort of their living room.

While there is a slew of online shooting games, role-playing games, dress up games, or puzzle games for kids that can be found online, racing games have easily captured the hearts and game pads of both boys and girls. Shifting gears, increasing speed, outmaneuvering the other opponents all add up to spur the child’s spirit of competition. Being on the lead and eventually winning can boost a kid’s self-confidence and encourage them to face more complex challenges in the future.

Car games for kids are popular with grownups as well. Probably the most popular car game today is the Need for Speed series which started out as a console game during the 1990’s. This game was later designed for PC gaming and inspired as well as revolutionized a host of online racing games.

Racing games for the PC may sometimes be too expensive for kids and parents to afford. Thankfully, there are a lot of websites nowadays that feature exciting racing games such as Crazy Kart, Race for Life, 4-Wheel Madness, Epic Derby race, Super Drift 3D, and Speed racers, to name but a few.

Playing free car games online not only offers free entertainment for kids but can provide some useful benefits as well. Racing game action enhances the child’s development in areas like image processing, hand-eye coordination, and real time response. It also promotes better judgment to keep them from getting smashed on the racetrack.

While many racing games are designed for entertainment, be sure that the games your kids play are not of the violent or gory type.
